In 2011, Dale Whitfield left a larger regional tree company with a pickup truck, a chainsaw, and a promise to Cincinnati homeowners: honest advice, careful work, and an arborist who actually shows up when he says he will. Fifteen years later, that promise hasn’t changed — even though ArborWorks has grown from a one-man climbing operation into a full crew with bucket trucks, stump grinders, and a 24/7 storm response line.

Dale earned his ISA Certified Arborist credential early on, at a time when plenty of local “tree guys” were running uninsured crews with a chainsaw and a rope. That certification — and the ongoing training that comes with keeping it — became the foundation of how ArborWorks operates: assess before you cut, plan for what’s around the tree, and never guess when a tree’s health or structure is in question.

The company’s reputation grew fastest after a severe 2018 windstorm tore through Hamilton and Warren counties, dropping limbs and whole trees onto roofs, cars, and power lines across the metro. ArborWorks crews worked around the clock for a week helping neighbors get safe again, and many of those storm calls are still customers today. That experience is why our emergency line stays staffed 24/7, storm or no storm.

Today, ArborWorks Tree Care serves homeowners and businesses throughout the Cincinnati metro — from Blue Ash to Green Township — with the same crew-first, safety-first approach Dale started with in 2011.
